He sought to understand how perturbations in specific metabolic processes, like sympathetic nerve signaling or gluconeogenesis, can alter mitochondrial metabolism in adipocyte cell lines and in mice.

Linda Goodspeed is the retired managing partner and Chief Operating Officer of WealthStrategies Financial Advisors, LLC. She is the former Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer of The ServiceMaster Company. Before ServiceMaster, she served as the CIO and Vice President of Information Systems for Nissan North America, Inc. From 2001 until 2007, she was an executive at Lennox International, a global supplier of climate control solutions. She held various roles with Lennox as an Executive Vice President, Chief Supply Chain Logistics, and Chief Technology Officer. Ms. Goodspeed also served as President and Chief Operating Officer of PartMiner, Inc., a global supplier of electronic components. In her past, Ms. Goodspeed has held leadership management positions in product management, research and development, and design engineering at General Electric Appliances, Nissan North America, Inc. and the Ford Motor Company.
Ms. Goodspeed is currently a member of the Boards of Directors of American Electric Power, AutoZone, and Darling Ingredients, Inc. She is a former member of the Board of Directors of Columbus McKinnon Corporation and Global Power Equipment Group. She holds a mechanical engineering degree from Michigan State University, and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Michigan.
